Hiccups

So I know I've been posting a lot about the boys but they are on a roll this week...

Wyatt came to me and said "Mom, I have the hiccups."
I said "Oh that's never good."
He looked at me for a second then said, "So can you get them out?"

What's your number?

So Carson has this friend at preschool that he talks about all the time... Yesterday, while waiting out side of preschool this friends mom came up and introduced herself and asked if I was Carson's mom. We chatted as the boys ran up to us... she was saying that it would be fun to get the boys together and that her son asked if it would be ok.... Then her son said "yeah I asked Carson his phone number and he said it was 2." I was a little confused and just laughed a little (guess we need to work on knowing your phone number, at least for an emergency). I said it would be great to get them together because Carson talks about this friend all the time too. The conversation ended....
Today Carson and I were talking about it and...
I said "So you gave your friend my phone number?"
he said, "No only dad's because I don't know yours."

Then it clicked... I taught Carson how to call Brady... Brady is 2 on the speed dial...

Big Brother

Wyatt and Carson sitting at the table just seconds ago...

Carson "I'm five, you're two so I'm older."

Wyatt "I know."

Carson "When you are three you can go to preschool but I might not be there because in the fall I will go to kindergarten... but it's ok, preschools fun."

It was a very serious sounding conversation...

Can I have a tree house?

Carson - "Mom can we build a tree house?"

Me - "Well probably not in our duplex.. Why?

Carson - "When I have my tree house then I can make my own rules..."

Me - "What rules would you have?"

Carson - "I could burp in my tree house."

Bowling

We just got back from taking the family bowling... I just have to say we had so much fun! The boys were so cute... Wyatt would dance his way up to the line pushed his ball down the ramp thing and skip back giving high-fives... It was so fun to see him be excited about how well he did.
Carson was mostly the reason we went... He had been before and had recently started talking about it... then practicing in the living room... So when we got stir crazy today Brady and I thought it would be a fun thing...
I love my family!
I'm just sad I forgot the camera!

A Mothers Portrait

Carson drew my picture and then hung it on the wall next to my bed.

I have a pony tail in my hair if you were wondering...
Kids are great!

Carson's Birthday!

My baby is 5 years old! I can hardly believe it... He is such a little man and he just loves everything about being 5! We were having lunch and he asked for some ranch but said "I can do my own because I'm 5" and he did... he didn't cover his plate with it, he did just enough... He also thought he didn't have to go to preschool any more... "I'm 5 mom, I'm too old for preschool." We assured him that he would still get to go to kindergarten after he got done with preschool. He has been talking about being 5 for months and now that it is here he usually starts his sentences with"because I'm 5 I can do..."

We had a great time with his birthday. It was the first real birthday party that we have thrown for him. We had a nice family one last Sunday and a friend one on Monday. At first I didn't want to have 2 separate parties... just one big one with family and friends but we just wouldn't have the room and I was afraid that with all those people Carson would get shy and just mope about. So we split them and it turned out great! Thanks everyone for making the trip to spend a few hours with us, Carson just loved every second of the attention (which I was relieved about).

His first little friend party went great and everyone had fun, even me. He wanted a spider-man birthday party so that is what we did. We invited 5 kids, mostly from his primary class, and we played pin the spider on the spiderweb, then had a cake walk, let the kids play out side (it was a nice day!), opened presents and had cupcakes. All the kids were so great... I was so impressed with how well everyone got along! The party only lasted a little over an hour which was the perfect amount of time for everyone, I thought.
Thanks to everyone for the presents they were all very thoughtful and Carson has been having a blast with them!

Who likes pickles?

So if you know me very well you would know that I enjoy pickles... In my younger years I would eat peanut butter and pickle sandwiches... I know, I know everyone says that but they are pretty tasty, try it some time. Well I am happy to say that my love of pickles has been inherited by 2 of my 3 sons... Wyatt and Owen... Carson for some reason still thinks they are sour...
When Owen gets whiny I can always count on a pickle to cheer him up... Tonight I needed to get dinner cooked so I gave him a pickle and thought I'd better get him on video because he is so darn cute! The pickle he has in the video in his 2nd one, the first was sucked dry... They turn out to be pretty good chew toys... (I keep a close eye on him because I'm afraid that he might chew it in half with his 2 small teeth but he never does)
