The twilight trilogy never really appealed to me... My cousin Laura took me to see "New Moon" on the night it come out... Mind you I've only seen parts of the first movie and no offense I was not impressed... anyway it was a free movie so I went... and I didn't even really know the premise of the movie beside some crazy depressed high school girl was in love with a vampire...
New Moon, well besides the really cheesy parts and (stop reading this if you haven't see the movie yet) the fact that a girl a few seats down from me ruined the ending when during the dramatic pause shouted out "will you marry me?" *annoying*, all things considered was not bad... anyway I had to know what happened next... So I text my sisters and found that Crystal had them all so she brought them to Thanksgiving and Brady and I started reading them together the Saturday after... after book one I couldn't wait for Brady to read with me any more (We only read together at night) so I cruised a head neglecting my house work and children as much as was legally possible and today I finished the fourth book. One day shy of 2 weeks... I can't say the I loved them and most of the fourth book made me crazy mad... but they were definitely addicting... So after years of people staring opened mouth and using hushed whispers around me when the subject arose I finally did it...
huh I don't feel any different...

Halloween!
Here are some pictures of the boys!
Wyatt got some Vampire teeth when he was trick-or-treating!
Carson (white ninja) and Wyatt (Batman)
Wyatt kept pushing his mask up and down saying "I'm batman, I'm not batman, I'm batman, I'm not batman."
25 1/2 inches long at his 4 month appointment
Not much of a surprise, we new from the beginning he was a big boy!
This is Owen"s new talent... he does this all day!
Just in case you were wondering, this is what it is like at my house the day after Halloween!
I love these boys, but man are they made of energy!

Just hanging out...
We had a pretty fun weekend... although we didn't really do any much. Friday was a pretty nice day and the boys spent most the day riding their bikes.

We tried taking off Carson's training wheels... It didn't go so well, he gets frustrated pretty quick and he doesn't really care if they are on or off. So we thought we'd try again in the spring.
Later that night we made good old cowboy cookies (pretty much the only kind of cookie we make at our house) They are the best chocolate chip cookies ever.
When bedtime rolled around it was my turn to put the boys down. We usually head up stairs about 7:30 and get in jammies, then they brush their teeth while I read an endless amount of stories (at least that's the way it sometimes feels) After six books we say prayers, dim the lights, and say "goodnight, I love you," a million times.
Then Brady and I usually have the rest of the evening to ourselves... If you know Owen he hardly makes a peep and then drifts off to sleep on the couch by himself after a feeding and a diaper change.
When I came down the stairs after getting the boys to bed, Brady had made a fire in the fireplace and pulled out the hid-a-bed and bought me my favorite treats. I was actually surprised! Usually I can tell when he is up to something. He rented "Wait Until Dark" at the BYU library and we snuggled in for an old time scary movie. It was pretty fun.

It was our first fire so I thought I'd take a picture!
Saturday I crossed a yard sale that had one of those big bean bags... luv sac... but a different brand. Anyway I passed it by... but when I got home I thought "I'll just go see how much they want for it." So I headed back out to it... It was starting to rain now so they were taking things back inside. I pulled up and didn't see the bag, I asked if they were done and she asked me if there was something that I was interested in. I said I drove by earlier and saw a big luv sac... They still had it but moved it inside because of the rain. Any way I kept telling myself I didn't need to get it, that I was just curious about how much it was... To make a long story short they just wanted to get rid of it and I asked if they would take twenty for it... He said sure... so I bought it. I really wasn't going too... any way the boys have been having a blast with it and I think it would be fun to put in our future family room...

Are you lion to me?
He he he, I was upstairs tending to Owen... I could hear the boys playing down stairs. Carson has been collecting small rocks all day and then leaving them in trails for Wyatt to follow. At this point Carson was re-collecting all his rocks from the trail and counting them... apparently he came up short and accused Wyatt of taking one of them (which we find out later was true). Carson started his interrogation by asking Wyatt if he took his rock.
Wyatt: "no"
Carson: "yes you did"
Wyatt: "nu ha"
Carson: "are you lying to me?"
Wyatt: "yes... ROAR!"
I'm sure you all get why I am giggling...

Carson says...
My friend, Kelli, gave us a CD with Sesame Street music on it and the boys just love it. They listen to it every day...
We were getting ready for bed Monday night in the boys room (music playing of course) and Carson turned to me and said, "Do you know what I wish?" I said, "What?"
"I wish I was 5 and I could go to kindergarten" (this is a pretty common statement of Carsons but then he continued) "and then the teacher would ask who had Sesame street songs and all the other kids wouldn't raise thier hands but I would raise my hand and all the kids would say 'yeah Go Carson!' thats what I wish."
Isn't that what we all wish? People to say "Go Carson!"

My little Wyatt
So my little Wyatt is now 2 yrs and 4 months. He is so sweet, I think he can talk me into almost anything with his big puppy-dog-eyes. But we did finally mangage to get rid of his "nuna." We did try once before but it wasn't to long before Owen was born and he just wasn't sleeping well and once Owen came we caved... He is just too darn cute and we were just too tired. Nevertheless, we finally did it and going on day 9 of no nuna. I took him to build-a-bear and let him choose a bear and he stuffed him and bought him a pair of glasses (so that he can be like john, Carson's bear). I told him before hand that I would trade him the bear for his nuna, he agreed and after he got Freddie he took his nuna and threw it in the trash. Later he started digging in the trash to get it back out so we had to take it out to the big garbage. But that was it... at nap time and bed time for the first couple of times he would ask for his nuna and I'd remind him that he has Freddie instead. He loves his new friend and drags him around the house all day.
The boys were getting in the bath the other day and Wyatt reached over for my razor and I said "Sweet Moses don't touch that!"
Wyatt looked at me and said "I not sweet moses."
Wyatt went potty in his little toilet for the first time on tuesday. He sat down on the potty while Carson went on the big potty. He said "Carsons got water" then after a while he looked at me and said "It's just not working" when I asked him if he was done he held up his hand and said "Just wait one minute" (wich is his response to most anything I say). I thought I'd give him a minute and left the room and shortly after that he came running into my room saying "I got water!"

Baby Owen
Just an update on Owen... He is growing like a weed! He was 14.8 lb and 24 in long at his 2 month appointment... yes he is a tank... We love him and he is such a good baby and was perfect on all the camping trips we went on this summer... He even sleeps through the night! He slept from 9pm to 8am the other night! I had to check and make sure he was still breathing a couple times! He is my angle baby!
The ends of summer...
Well summer is coming to an end... Brady goes back to work in 2 short weeks and Carson will be starting preschool again soon. It will be nice to have a routine back in our lives but I'm sad the time of summer vacationing is gone. This summer we did a lot of camping. First we went to Monte Cristo with some of Brady's family, we had lots of fun on the four wheelers and it was nice to be out of the heat and into the mountains.

Next we got go on one of my favorite summer vacations, Bear Lake! My family has a reunion every year. Its a great family tradition that I love. This year there were about 250 people there. Tons of cousins, second cousins, great uncles, and more. It's so much fun to be connected face to face at least once a year.

Owen was there too.

After Bear Lake Brady got to spend a couple days at scout camp, he was recently called in to the YM presidency. He had a good time but was tired when he came home and I was tired when he came home too... single parenting is hard.
After a few days of recovery we took another camping trip. This time it was just our little family and we went down to Zion National Park. It was tons of fun. The first day was a little hot and the boys were a little cranky but the second day was a lot more fun. We did most our hiking on the second day. It was a perfect day, there was cloud cover and we even got sprinkled on a little which kept us nice and cool. The boys were such troopers, we really hope they had a time they will remember. I think their favorite part was this little creek that ran right next to our camp ground... they got pretty dirty and wet but it did get over 100 so I didn't blame them much for practically trying to swim in it. We roasted marshmallows and Brady did a really good job on some dutch oven chicken. It was fun and we hope to do it again once the boys are older and we can go on the longer hikes.

More on our new boy...
Well here I sit, bored at the hospital... There really is nothing to do here so I thought I'd take some time to play on my blog and tell the story of Owen.
I called the hospital yesterday at 6:20am and asked when I could come in. She said "why don't you come right now?" I said great and we were at the hospital by 7. They had me in my room and had things started by 8. I was already have some contraction and when they put me on pit they started to get more regular. At 10:30 they broke my water and by 11:30 I had my epidural (which by the way, the guy who did it was great and the epidural as great too). After that I took a nap, at least as best I could with that dumb blood pressure thing going off ever 15 min. I was only at a 4 and I expected to take a while to get the rest of the way. By at about 1:30 I could start feeling pressure and called the nurse... she checked me and said "well lets get the doctor here." She set up the room and it took a while before Dr. Berry got there but after he did it only took about 3 pushes before this big guy was out. He did have a little trouble because he was so big his shoulders got stuck and a nurse had to push a little on my belly to help out. The doctor laid Owen on my tummy and my first thoughts were "Wow he is big and very purple." He colored up right away, at least all by his face... apparently his face got a little squished when his shoulders got stuck and he bruised pretty much his whole head and face. Even though he was only stuck for a few seconds. (He looks so much better today.)
From there everything went really well. They cleaned him up and checked him out and he was perfect. All 9 1/2 pounds of him! I still have a hard time believing he was that big! They had to put a little note on his crib saying he had a bruised face so that nurses would know he was bruised and not turning purple because he was not breathing.
I'm so glad not to be pregnant any more... I slept better than I have in a long time last night, even with the nurses coming in at all hours to check my blood pressure.
The boys love their new brother and are excited to have him home today... I'm excited to be home too... I didn't think I'd want to go home the day after but I'm bored and feeling good so I thought why not? I have lots of help at home and a more comfortable bed. Well here are some more pictures of yesterday...

Owen Brady Edwards
So just a quick note today! We had our baby boy today at 2:12 pm... Every thing went well and we are all healthy and happy. He was a very big boy and I'm still not sure how he fit in me or how he got out... But he was 9 lbs 8 oz and 20 in. His face is a little bruised because he got stuck for a second but it is already looking better... We are all doing well!

Trip to Arizona!
Monika, Crystal and I made the daring trip to Arizona without our husbands and caravanning in two vans with 8 kids between us (granted 5 of them were Monika's). The drive actually went really well and we made good time even stopping to feed the twins and letting me walk around to avoid blood clots as my doctors advised. Jenny and her kids were able to fly in from Oklahoma and Tyler was able to be there for the day too.
We did it all to be there when Cortney graduated high school! Wow! My little sister graduated high school! We had such a good time and it was so fun getting to hang out with Cortney... I can't believe how amazing she is... I've just been so impressed how she has grown up to be such a great person. She is so talented in photography and very creative in every other aspect of her life. She is so beautiful and you can tell that everyone she knows just adores her! Just like her family does. I love you Cortney and I'm so proud of you!
Besides graduation we had blast hanging out at grandma and grandpa's house. The boys had so much fun playing with cousins and being spoiled by their grandparents. We all enjoyed the pool, shopping and even some "unusual" rain for the season, which made things cool off and be so nice. Being 8 months pregnant I was pretty hot and tired the during the trip but everyone was nice enough to let me take a nap during the day which was pretty awesome. And of course we went garage selling and had a lot of fun finding some cool stuff and good deals.
Here are some pictures from our trip... Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for letting us invade your house! We loved it!
