Back into the swing of things...

Brady has settled into his new job and the kids and I are getting settled into our daily routine. It's kind of nice to be in a routine again... It feels like the whole last year was a little out of wack. Don't get me wrong it was a great year for us but it was just a little... well unorganized.
Now Brady is a 8 to 5ish kind of guy and I get a whole lot more done around the house and with the kids. This last year Brady was an adjunct instructor which meant his schedule could be about anything, from early morning classes to night classes. During the summer he only had 2 classes to teach so he was home a lot, which was nice but I never get as much done when he is there to distract me. I really have missed having him around and you can tell the boys do too. But we all have to grow up and get a real job some day. Which Brady is loving his job and is working hard at it. BYU gave him a pretty good sized office which his stacks of books that have been sitting in our bedroom and are finally out, (yeah!) can't fill. I think I need to get him a great big fake tree to take up some room. He is teaching English 150, Shakespeare, and 2 British Lit classes, which is funny because he studied American Lit. So he spends most his time reading and learning the stuff he teaches his students the next day. Next semester he gets to teach American Lit, which he thinks will be so nice.
I spend most my day with my boys. I've joined a gym that has excellent child care and have really enjoyed putting exercise back into my routine. I've been participating in our wards book club... lets just say that has been interesting. And I spend Wednesday nights at the church with the young women. I have just loved being involved with them and the women I serve with. We have a meeting after YW and usually stay talking till 10pm, which I love and I'm grateful for the support that Brady gives me and he never complains when I leave the house at 6 and don't come home till 10.
Carson is loving preschool and I must say I rather enjoy it too. Wyatt and I get to play for a while and then Wyatt goes down for a nap and I get some me time. Carson is always surprising me with what he know and that he catches onto things so quick. He love to rhyme and tell knock knock jokes. He is very good at helping me out and he makes his bed every day. Although last night when I was putting him to bed he refused to get under his covers and when I asked him why he said "I don't always like to make my bed everyday." That was good enough for me and I put one of Wyatt's baby blankets over him instead.
Wyatt is still a little mommas boy but he is getting better. His curly hair is so cute and some days so out of control but I'm scared to cut it though it needs it badly... He has a mind of his own and his little personality is shining through. We like to play duck duck goose with the boys and the other night Wyatt finally, kind of, caught onto the game. It was his turn and he hit Carson in the head and said duck and went running away down the hall. We all laughed, even Carson.

The Slide

This was a sunday afternoon and Wyatt has finally mastered the slide so I don't have to worry about him too much any more.
