Ultrasound

So I've never had such a stubborn baby during an ultrasound... we almost left not knowing if we were having a boy or girl. When we started she went straight to finding out if we were going to have a "brother or a sister" which was nice because I couldn't stand the suspense any more. But as she tried baby's foot sat right in the middle of his legs along with the cord going right between the legs so it was a little tricky to see anything. She jiggled and poked trying to get a good look but no luck so we moved on... I was really hopeful that it was a girl... She also tried to measure his head but he wouldn't turn the right way so there was more jiggling and poking and pushing... finally she had me stand up and go to the bathroom to see if we could shift the baby to a better position. That must have helped because below is the shot we got of between the legs... can't really mistake that can you?

I could hardly believe we were having another boy! I just kept thinking that because God surprised us with this little one he would at least give us a girl... I'm a little sad to say that I was a little disappointed, I had been browsing the little girl clothing section in almost any store I went in... so much cuter than boys by the way... but by the next day I felt better and I am excited to have another boy, our boys are so fun and it's fun to picture our life with a bunch of boys and all the fun things we will do together.

The boys said that it was ok we were having another brother but the next one needed to be a girl...
So will we try for another, see if we get a girl... doubtful but yet undecided...

Stuff

Sometimes when it comes to my callings I don't have the best attitude... First of all, I have 3. I'm Wolf den leader, Stake Women/YW Sports Director, and most recently I have been called to be over our YW Region Sports... They don't really have region any more but I'm not sure what to call it but it means I'm in charge of the multi-stake YW tournaments of basketball and volleyball. Today we just started our multi-stake tournament... I get pretty anxious during basketball season, even though it is my 3rd season, just because I don't know much about basketball and I've never played (that was until 3 years ago!). I just know that there are so many more people that know more than I do... anyway I woke up this morning determined to have a positive attitude about how tonight was going to go. I felt so much better during the day... I wasn't worrying and fretting over the how it would go, I just said to myself that it was going to be great. I admit that I fumbled through some of it but it mostly went really well and I was so relived! I was at the church from 4:30 to 8pm... My boys joined me at 7pm because Brady had to go home teaching and they were pretty good. My girls played and went into double over time and won by 3 pts! It was an intense game. But luckily everyone was very sportsman like! I never know what to do when people start getting grumpy, especially if its the spectators.
Brady came after the game was over and we played a little ball with the boys... It turned out to be a pretty good night... I'm learning that a positive outlook can go a long way.
Only 6 more games to go!

Carson

Well I found the camera! Carson wanted a Earth cake for his birthday... Not too hard and I thought it turned out ok.

Spoiled little man!

He actually lost his 2 bottom teeth around Christmas but it was on the camera so I thought I'd post it on here.

Does it drive anyone else crazy when their 20 month old drags a gallon of milk or juice from the fridge to you?! Biggest pet peeve... I have a lock on it but it doesn't always get locked...

Beautiful Day!

The sun was shining yesterday! I was such a nice day. We played outside and rode bikes! The boys stayed out side most of the day, I love days like that. I had the back door open and really had a chance to clean my kitchen while the boys laughed and played and exercise in the back yard. I love my back yard! It has a patio where the boys can ride bikes or play basketball and a huge fenced in yard they can run and kick balls in. I missed this so much, no wonder I get so sluggish in the winter! This is just so much better! I'm happier and so are the boys, I just love it!
Carson turned 6 yesterday! He said "I still feel 5" well I still feel 20... at least in some ways... I told him that he'll get used to it. We braved Chuck E Cheese for only the second time in our life for him... and it was actually fun. Tuesday night is a very nice time to go, not too many crazy kids running around... although it does surprise me that some parents let such little ones run around on their own... I guess they try to make it safe so that nobody else leaves with your kid but still...
I can't find the camera this morning with the pics of the cake I made Carson and all the birthday fun... which means Owen probably had it, he loves that thing and will snag it anytime he gets the the chance, it looks the worse for it too. I'll get some pics up later, if/when we find the camera.

Owen has turned into quite the climber... He loves to get on my table, which drives me crazy! He just smiles and giggles as I try to get him down... In fact as I type he is smashing crackers all over my clean kitchen... nothing a vacuum can't fix I guess...
